Based on the CrossFit prescription of “constantly varied functional movement executed at high intensity,” our CrossFit program combines strength training with the “classic” CrossFit cardio workout. For this 1-hour class, you could be working on pull-ups, rowing, burpees and much more. Every WOD is different so you never get bored! We scale each workout to your fitness level, so you get the maximum workout every time. Our CrossFit class includes 10 minutes of mobility, 10-15 minutes of group warm-up, and the remainder of the time doing the Workout of the Day: typically a 15-30 minute met-con.
Our On-Ramp program is an informational and instructional course designed for anyone new to CrossFit. In our On-Ramp sessions, we slow down our usual pace to guide you through the basic movements, get you familiarized with proper mechanics and technique and get your body primed to join our group classes. On-Ramp is designed to ensure your success and to give the coaches an opportunity to really assess the beginning of your journey.
The On-Ramp course consists of 5 one-hour small group classes.
Olympic Lifting, commonly referred to as “Oly,” is comprised of two lifts; the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk.
So why is it that we’d offer a class completely devoted to two lifts when the CrossFit world is comprised of endless movement possibilities? These lifts teach your body explosive strength, complete control and balance, and maximum range of motion – they train your body to function as a powerful and well-balanced unit. Plus, they’re a ton of fun to do! There’s really nothing more satisfying then hitting a new PR at Oly class. Come on in and give it a try.
In this 60-minute class we will typically do a warm up, Oly focused skill work such as drills, auxiliary movements and strength, plus fine turning your Oly lifting progression, then finish the class with a cool down mobility session.
HIIT, or high-intensity interval training, is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time.
Our HIIT class is lead by Coach Julie D. Each class lasts approximately one hour. Training starts with a combination of static and dynamic stretching followed by a wide variety of interval training. You will see movements such as push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, plyometrics and various types of intense explosive routines. Sessions conclude with core work and a cool down session.
